Aronghua Griffiths

Swiss-based violinist Aronghua Griffiths hails from a distinguished family of musicians, drawing upon a rich musical heritage that informs her deeply expressive and stylistically refined playing.Equally at home as a soloist and chamber musician, Aronghua Griffiths is known for her musical sensitivity, artistic versatility, and a profound connection to the repertoire she interprets.Renowned for her expressive musicality and stylistic flexibility, her artistry spans both historically informed performance and contemporary repertoire. Her distinctive voice as a performer continues to captivate audiences and collaborators alike. In the current season, she has recorded two new CDs, with a further release scheduled for the coming year.

International Stage

As a sought-after performer on the international stage, she has appeared at prestigious festivals such as the Gstaad Menuhin Festival, the George Enescu Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, and the renowned BBC Proms in London. Her performances have taken her to celebrated concert halls including London’s Royal Albert Hall, Tonhalle Zürich, KKL Lucerne, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and the Berliner Philharmonie.

Concertmaster & Leadership 


She has held the position of concertmaster with the Theater Hagen and has been invited to perform in the same role such as the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra, the Aachen Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble CHAARTS, Collegium Musicum Basel, the Orchestre de Chambre Fribourgeois, and the Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden. In addition, she served as associate concertmaster with the Festival Strings Lucerne and as associate leader of the 2nd Violins with the hr-Symphony Orchestra Frankfurt Main.
